Art exhibition 6th-8th April 2016

Our community heritage worker Nita Newman is also an artist who happens to love beacons of all kinds; and lighthouses are no exception.

Nita invited the public to populate a map of Chance Brothers lighthouses at her 10 year retrospective exhibition along with Jen Dixon who recently worked in conjunction with the Environment  Agency on the ‘Tamed’ project in Witton.

The exhibition was held at the Works Gallery in the Jubilee Centre in Birmingham.

Special thanks to Sally Robertshaw, Pooja Raj, Holly O’Meara (Friction Arts Administrator, Art Club Facilitator and Print making expert), Anita Mann…and of course Nita’s husband Paul Newman.
